Who are we?
The CoopZone Developers’ Network Co-operative is a network of people and organizations that help to start, develop, and support co-operatives.

Our vision
To enhance the quality of life in Canada by promoting and supporting the growth and development of co-operatives, through mobilizing co-operative developers committed to the vision and objectives of the co-operative movement.

CO-OP DEVELOPMENT TRAINING PROGRAM
INTRODUCTORY PROGRAM
This program is designed for people who are interested in working with developing and existing co-operatives.
This two-year program will provide you with advanced skills and information to provide development, facilitation, and project management services to new, existing and expanding co-operatives. It is expected that graduates will be able to provide a full range of development services to a co-operative. The program will also connect participants with other colleagues working in the field, as well as those working with specific co-op sectors.
The courses have been designed by some of Canada’s most experienced co-op developers in order to share the skills, knowledge and experience required to assist with the full co-op development process from start-up, as well as to provide ongoing assistance to existing co-operatives.
- On-line distance education program in a collaborative learning team environment.
- Participate in video discussions on-line, group conference calls and webinars.
- Incorporate the courses into your existing career.
- Learn about co-operatives and the development process within your own context.
- Network with other practitioners.
- Have the benefit of an experienced mentor.

- Roles, Rights, and Responsibilities in Co-operatives, Co-operative Organizations, and Federations
- Course begins: October 26, 2020
- Course ends: January 4, 2020

- The Co-operative Structure and its Versatility
- Course begins: January 4, 2021
- Course ends: March 5, 2021
- Deadline to apply: December 15, 2020
- Co-operative Developer’s Leadership
- Course begins: February 22, 2021

Second Year Courses
- Co-operative Financing, Capitalization and Financial Planning
- Course begins: September 21, 2020
- Course ends: November 20, 2020

- Co-operative Monitoring and Reporting – Accounting and Audits
- Course begins: November 2, 2021
- Course ends: January 8, 2021
- Deadline to apply: October 9, 2020
- Decision-making and Dealing with Conflicts in Co-operatives
- Course begins: January 11, 2021
- Course ends: March 12, 2021
- Deadline to apply: December 15, 2020
- Final Module – Leadership and Maintaining Co-operatives’ Value
- Course begins: March 1, 2021
- Course ends: April 30, 2021
- Deadline to apply: February 1, 2021
- Tuition is $3,000 for the year
- Each course is $750 individually
- We accept payment in installments with the first payment before course begins
- For those who find this financially prohibitive, some partial bursaries may be available
